360 Degree Camera
What is a 360 camera?
The 360-degree camera is a camera that captures a full 360-degree field of view. It shows you everything around the camera in all directions, from front, back, sides, above, and below. It is commonly used for virtual reality, immersive videos, and panoramic photos.
Pull through- Are shots where the camera is pulled through an object or space like a window, tunnel, or railing. In my team, I used a 360 camera and pulled it through a railing, allowing it to stretch out, away from us. I then edited the footage in Insta360, giving it a more swirly and twisted effect. In Insta360, I placed the camera upside down or positioned it at different angles.
Epic walk – A walking shot where the subject or talent walks, while the 360 camera captures the surroundings. For the epic walk, I set up the 360 camera to capture our feet as we walked down the corridor. I edited the footage using Insta360 to focus solely on our feet, and then I further refined it in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Black to Black - Is a transition where the video fades to black and then comes back from black using the 360 camera. For "Black to Black", I focused on two of my team members as they walked down the corridor. I used Adobe Premiere to edit both clips and Insta360 to identify the areas that appeared the most black.
Ultimate selfie- Is a wide, immersive selfie shot that shows the person and the full environment around them. For the ultimate selfie, I positioned the 360 camera high up, and my team and I started posing at it.
Tiny planet - Is where the 360 camera is warped into a small spherical shape, making the world look like a tiny planet with the subject on top.
Same as "Ultimate selfie", I placed the camera high above, and my team and I started doing poses. However, for the "Tiny planet", I had to edit the footage using Insta360 to create a zoomed-out appearance, making it look like a planet. Although, for better results, my team and I should have taken the shot outside.
